A LIVING ARTWORK

A LIVING ARTWORK follows the artist Sonja Bäumel, medical historian Birgit Nemec and cultural critic Jules Sturm as they develop a series of interventions, performances and exhibitions centred around the notion of "the living" in art. The film follows its protagonists between Vienna, Amsterdam and Berlin, and documents their discussions as part of an unfolding "work in progress".The film has been shown alongside works of the artist Sonja Bäumel as part of the exhibition "Entanglements: The Rhythm of Being" at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum (2026). Further museum exhibitions are planned for 2026.Credit:
